How do I get there?

Off I-25 take exit 141 “Cimarron” and “Hwy 24″ West. Once you are off the interstate, keep heading West and start looking for the Gold Hill Mesa smoke stack. On 21st street you turn left again and then turn left into the community of “Gold Hill Mesa”

Why Do People Live here?

Gold Hill Mesa is a brandnew concept housing development. Started only in 2008, the developer Bob Willard, had a vision of more European style community living, with plenty of green space and lots of resident interaction. In the end the community will have about 800 residential homes with about 82 acres of commercial property for retail stores.

What’s the Neighborhood Like?

Gold Hill Mesa aims to diversify the offered styles of homes. They start in the high mid $100,000 for townhomes and climp up to and past $500,000 – the community offers townhomes as well as detached single family homes, some patio homes.

Currently, there are 4 builders: JM Weston homes, Creekstone Homes, Hi-Point Home Builders and Vanguard Homes.

The homes have very little yard space and what little yard space there is, is taken care off by the HOA – hence, low maintenance living. Get out and ride the nearby trails, enjoy the city and don’t worry about taking care of your home.

The individual home designs are different from the models that you find in the rest of the city.  The home designs are upbeat, modern with classic and elegant touches. Diversity is the karma.

What’s Going on Nearby the Gold Hills Neighborhood?

Enjoy nearby the traditions of Old Colorado City or  stroll the main street of Manitou Springs, or live big city live in down town Colorado Springs.

Colorado Springs is a city of trails and parks. In Gold Hills Mesa the concert area at “The Exchange” community center offers a green space at your doorstep. A minutes bike ride away are Bear Park Nature Trails invite you for runs or mountain bike rides, while Bear Creek Dog Park – the lets Fido have some social time on 25 acres !

If you or your kids play field sports like soccer, chances are they will sooner or later play games on the fields of Bear Creek Regional Park. Sheltered picnic area with playgrounds close by make this also a great place to have birthday parties and other celebrations.

What Schools will the Kids Attend?

1. Nearby in-district schools  (D-11)

There is the Midland International Elementary School in D-11 and comes highly recommended by parents for their International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) that is recognized and respected around the world.

West Middle School  offers the gifted and talented program -SAIL- but also other specialty classes for students with English as a second language.

Coronado High School Coronado High School offers a comprehensive curriculum and a full range of co-curricular activities. Our students continue to demonstrate that they are among the finest that our community has to offer.

2. Nearby out-of-district schools (D-12)

Very close to the Gold Hills Mesa community are several D-12 schools: Gold Camp Elementary School, Skyway Elementary SchoolCheyenne Mountain Jr High School and Cheyenne Mountain High School.

Colorado Springs has a CHOICE in program, which lets you choose the school that you wish your child to attend. You will have to follow certain rules and deadlines.  You will be responsible for your childs transportation to and from school. That said, D-12 does not have a schoolbus system at all.
