It’s been almost a year, until the Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau, which led Colorado Springs (re-) branding effort, decided on a (good)logo. There was a cost of $111,000 involved, to come up with the following logo, which was revealed in November of 2011:
Previous Logo (2011)
Unfortunately, not only the tagline, but also the logo ended up to be controversial. Some hated the tagline, some hated the logo, some -of course- both. The ‘rebranding committe’ agreed to reconsider the ‘new’ logo and in true new-millennium-social-media-crowd-sourcing style a new logo was developed and chosen within a short few months. Yesterday, Colorado Springs unveiled the new-new logo and it is definitely a step up from the old logo.
Redesigned Logo (2012)
I like the new poster – I feel it very much speaks to life in Colorado Springs and the old one made me want to pull out my 80′s clothes. How do you like the updated logo?
